This Privacy Policy explains how Intersub Inc. (“InterSub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and otherwise processes information in connection with https://intersub.cc, https://app.intersub.cc, the InterSub browser extension, and any related services, features, tools, and functionality (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing paid access, or otherwise interacting with InterSub, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information.

1.1. Account and registration information

This may include:

  • email address;
  • optional name;
  • optional birthday;
  • account credentials and authentication data.

1.2. Social login information
If you sign in through Google or Facebook, we may receive:

  • your email address;
  • limited technical account information needed to authenticate your account and provide access to the Service.

1.3. Service usage and learning data
To provide core InterSub functionality, we may collect and store information related to your use of the Service, including:

  • words or phrases you translate or save;
  • the selected text;
  • surrounding context associated with the selected text;
  • translations of the selected text;
  • translations of the surrounding context;
  • your saved vocabulary and lookup history;
  • timeline or viewing history related to content where lookups occurred;
  • the source platform or website;
  • content titles, where available;
  • timestamps or time markers, where available.

1.4. Technical and log information
We may collect technical and operational data such as:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • browser type and version;
  • operating system;
  • basic device information;
  • service, diagnostic, operational, and error-related logs;
  • usage timing and related technical events.

1.5. Payment and transaction-related information
If you purchase paid access, subscribe, or use paid features, payment-related information may be processed in connection with your transaction. This may include:

  • subscription or package status;
  • transaction-related metadata;
  • billing-related events;
  • payment confirmations and renewals.

We do not primarily store full payment card details ourselves. Payments are primarily processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal.

  • your email address and related contact details you choose to provide;
  • support history;
  • feedback, requests, and related service communications.

4. Payments
Payments and related billing functions may be handled by third-party providers such as Stripe and PayPal.

These providers may process payment, billing, and transaction-related information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not primarily store full payment card details ourselves.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Tools
We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember settings, understand usage, improve performance, and measure the effectiveness of pages and communications.

We may use analytics and measurement tools such as:

  • Google Analytics;
  • Yandex Metrica;
  • advertising or measurement tools that may be used on certain pages, including landing or marketing pages.

We may also use third-party communication and email tools to send transactional, billing, support, and service-related emails.

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, website cookie controls. Disabling certain cookies or similar technologies may affect parts of the Service.

6. How We Share Information

  • payment processors and payment-related service providers;
  • email, communication, and messaging service providers;
  • analytics, measurement, and infrastructure providers;
  • website, hosting, operational, and technical service providers;
  • professional advisers, auditors, and legal or compliance partners where reasonably necessary;

  • parties involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards where applicable.
  • service providers and technology partners that help us operate language-processing, translation, AI-assisted, authentication, website, analytics, communication, hosting, and payment-related functions;

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of a direct sale of your personal data for money.

7. Data Retention
We may retain account and service data while your account is active.

We may retain logs for a limited period for troubleshooting, security, fraud-prevention, and operational purposes.

If your account is deleted, the direct account identifiers associated with that account, including the primary account email identifier, are removed from our active system records used to identify the account holder. Some associated technical, operational, backup, security, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping data may remain for a limited period, but may no longer be directly linked to the deleted account in the ordinary course of our operations.

Certain information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or preserve payment and business records.

8. Account Deletion and User Requests
Self-service account deletion is not currently available in the interface.

Users may request account deletion by contacting support at support@intersub.cc.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

9. International Users and Transfers
InterSub is operated by a United States company, and information may be processed, stored, or accessed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than those in your country.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy or data protection laws to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection with respect to certain personal information. Requests may be submitted to support@intersub.cc.

10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission over the internet, no storage system, and no technical safeguard is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children
The Service is not directed to children, and users below the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction should not use paid features or submit personal information without appropriate permission where required by applicable law.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information in a manner that violates applicable age-related legal requirements, we may take steps to delete or restrict such information and associated access.

12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may include or rely on third-party websites, login providers, payment providers, analytics services, communication services, website and form tools, hosting or infrastructure providers, and technology providers used to operate certain Service functions.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and their handling of information is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may update the date above and may provide notice by email, through the Service, or by other reasonable means.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acknowledgment of the updated version, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
